هُوَ الَّذٖی یُسَیِّرُكُمْ فِی الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِؕ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِی الْفُلْكِۚ وَجَرَیْنَ بِهِمْ بِرٖیحٍ طَیِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَٓاءَتْهَا رٖیحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَٓاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّٓوا اَنَّهُمْ اُحٖیطَ بِهِمْۙ دَعَوُا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصٖینَ لَهُ الدّٖینَۚ لَئِنْ اَنْجَیْتَنَا مِنْ هٰذِهٖ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرٖینَ
Huwa allathee yusayyirukum fee albarri waalbahri hatta itha kuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatin wafarihoo biha jaatha reehun AAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makanin wathannoo annahum oheeta bihim daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena lain anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
Translations
It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from everywhere and they assume that they are surrounded, supplicating Allah, sincere to Him in religion, "If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful
Saheeh International
He it is Who maketh you to go on the land and the sea till, when ye are in the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze and they are glad therein, a storm-wind reacheth them and the wave cometh unto them from every side and they deem that they are overwhelmed therein; (then) they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only: If Thou deliver us from this, we truly will be of the thankful
