56:1

اِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُۙ

When the Occurrence occurs

Saheeh Intl

56:2

لَیْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌۘ

There is, at its occurrence, no denial

Saheeh Intl

56:3

خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌۙ

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]

Saheeh Intl

56:4

اِذَا رُجَّتِ الْاَرْضُ رَجًّاۙ

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

Saheeh Intl

56:5

وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّاۙ

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

Saheeh Intl

56:6

فَكَانَتْ هَبَٓاءً مُنْبَثًّاۙ

And become dust dispersing

Saheeh Intl

56:7

وَكُنْتُمْ اَزْوَاجًا ثَلٰثَةًؕ

And you become [of] three kinds

Saheeh Intl

56:8

فَاَصْحَابُ الْمَیْمَنَةِ مَٓا اَصْحَابُ الْمَیْمَنَةِؕ

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right

Saheeh Intl

56:9

وَاَصْحَابُ الْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَٓا اَصْحَابُ الْمَشْـَٔمَةِؕ

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left

Saheeh Intl

56:10

وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَۙ

And the forerunners, the forerunners

Saheeh Intl

56:11

اُو𐻾لٰٓئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَۚ

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

56:12

فٖی جَنَّاتِ النَّعٖیمِ

In the Gardens of Pleasure

Saheeh Intl

56:13

ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْاَوَّلٖینَۙ

A [large] company of the former peoples

Saheeh Intl

56:14

وَقَلٖیلٌ مِنَ الْاٰخِرٖینَؕ

And a few of the later peoples

Saheeh Intl

56:15

عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مَوْضُونَةٍۙ

On thrones woven [with ornament]

Saheeh Intl

56:16

مُتَّكِــٖٔینَ عَلَیْهَا مُتَقَابِلٖینَ

Reclining on them, facing each other
