هَلْ اَتٰیكَ حَدٖیثُ الْغَاشِیَةِؕ

Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]

Saheeh Intl

وُجُوهٌ یَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌۙ

[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled

Saheeh Intl

عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌۙ

Working [hard] and exhausted

Saheeh Intl

تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِیَةًۙ

They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire

Saheeh Intl

تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَیْنٍ اٰنِیَةٍؕ

They will be given drink from a boiling spring

Saheeh Intl

لَیْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرٖیعٍۙ

For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

Saheeh Intl

لَا یُسْمِنُ وَلَا یُغْنٖی مِنْ جُوعٍؕ

Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger

Saheeh Intl

وُجُوهٌ یَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌۙ

[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure

Saheeh Intl

لِسَعْیِهَا رَاضِیَةٌۙ

With their effort [they are] satisfied

Saheeh Intl

فٖی جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍۙ

In an elevated garden

Saheeh Intl

لَا تَسْمَعُ فٖیهَا لَاغِیَةًؕ

Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech
