15:1

الٓـرٰࣞ تِلْكَ اٰیَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَقُرْاٰنٍ مُبٖینٍ

Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an

Saheeh Intl

15:2

رُبَمَا یَوَدُّ الَّذٖینَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ كَانُوا مُسْلِمٖینَ

Perhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims

Saheeh Intl

15:3

ذَرْهُمْ یَاْكُلُوا وَیَتَمَتَّعُوا وَیُلْهِهِمُ الْاَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ یَعْلَمُونَ

Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know

Saheeh Intl

15:4

وَمَٓا اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ اِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَعْلُومٌ

And We did not destroy any city but that for it was a known decree

Saheeh Intl

15:5

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا یَسْتَاْخِرُونَ

No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter

Saheeh Intl

15:6

وَقَالُوا یَٓا اَیُّهَا الَّذٖی نُزِّلَ عَلَیْهِ الذِّكْرُ اِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌؕ

And they say, "O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad

Saheeh Intl

15:7

لَوْ مَا تَاْتٖینَا بِالْمَلٰٓئِكَةِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقٖینَ

Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful

Saheeh Intl

15:8

مَا نُنَزِّلُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةَ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُٓوا اِذًا مُنْظَرٖینَ

We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved

Saheeh Intl

15:9

اِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَاِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ

Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian

Saheeh Intl

15:10

وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فٖی شِیَعِ الْاَوَّلٖینَ

And We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples

Saheeh Intl

15:11

وَمَا یَاْتٖیهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ اِلَّا كَانُوا بِهٖ یَسْتَهْزِؤُ𐻿نَ

And no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him

Saheeh Intl

15:12

كَذٰلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فٖی قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمٖینَۙ

Thus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals

Saheeh Intl

15:13

لَا یُؤْمِنُونَ بِهٖ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ الْاَوَّلٖینَ

They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples

Saheeh Intl

15:14

وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ بَابًا مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ فَظَلُّوا فٖیهِ یَعْرُجُونَۙ

And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend

Saheeh Intl

15:15

لَقَالُٓوا اِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ اَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَسْحُورُونَࣖ

They would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic
