74:1

یَٓا اَیُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُۙ

O you who covers himself [with a garment]

Saheeh Intl

74:2

قُمْ فَاَنْذِرْۙ

Arise and warn

Saheeh Intl

74:3

وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْۙ

And your Lord glorify

Saheeh Intl

74:4

وَثِیَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْۙ

And your clothing purify

Saheeh Intl

74:5

وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْۙ

And uncleanliness avoid

Saheeh Intl

74:6

وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُۙ

And do not confer favor to acquire more

Saheeh Intl

74:7

وَلِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْؕ

But for your Lord be patient

Saheeh Intl

74:8

فَاِذَا نُقِرَ فِی النَّاقُورِۙ

And when the trumpet is blown

Saheeh Intl

74:9

فَذٰلِكَ یَوْمَئِذٍ یَوْمٌ عَسٖیرٌۙ

That Day will be a difficult day

Saheeh Intl

74:10

عَلَى الْكَافِرٖینَ غَیْرُ یَسٖیرٍ

For the disbelievers - not easy

Saheeh Intl

74:11

ذَرْنٖی وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحٖیدًاۙ

Leave Me with the one I created alone

Saheeh Intl

74:12

وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَمْدُودًاۙ

And to whom I granted extensive wealth

Saheeh Intl

74:13

وَبَنٖینَ شُهُودًاۙ

And children present [with him]

Saheeh Intl

74:14

وَمَهَّدْتُ لَهُ تَمْهٖیدًاۙ

And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]

Saheeh Intl

74:15

ثُمَّ یَطْمَعُ اَنْ اَزٖیدَࣗ

Then he desires that I should add more

Saheeh Intl

74:16

كَلَّاؕ اِنَّهُ كَانَ لِاٰیَاتِنَا عَنٖیدًاؕ

No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate

Saheeh Intl

74:17

سَاُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًاؕ

I will cover him with arduous torment
