اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذٖی خَلَقَۚ
Recite in the name of your Lord who created

الْعَلَقِ
96. Al-'Alaq
The Clot · Meccan · 19 ayahs · Juz 30, Page 598
خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍۚ
Created man from a clinging substance
Saheeh Intl
اِقْرَاْ وَرَبُّكَ الْاَكْرَمُۙ
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous
Saheeh Intl
اَلَّذٖی عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِۙ
Who taught by the pen
Saheeh Intl
عَلَّمَ الْاِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ یَعْلَمْؕ
Taught man that which he knew not
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّٓا اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَیَطْغٰىۙ
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses
Saheeh Intl
اَنْ رَاٰهُ اسْتَغْنٰىؕ
Because he sees himself self-sufficient
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعٰىؕ
Indeed, to your Lord is the return
Saheeh Intl
اَرَاَیْتَ الَّذٖی یَنْهٰىۙ
Have you seen the one who forbids
Saheeh Intl
عَبْدًا اِذَا صَلّٰىؕ
A servant when he prays
Saheeh Intl
اَرَاَیْتَ اِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدٰىۙ
Have you seen if he is upon guidance
Saheeh Intl
اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰىؕ
Or enjoins righteousness
Saheeh Intl
اَرَاَیْتَ اِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ
Have you seen if he denies and turns away
Saheeh Intl
اَلَمْ یَعْلَمْ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ یَرٰىؕ
Does he not know that Allah sees
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَمْ یَنْتَهِ𐻾 لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِیَةِۙ
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock
Saheeh Intl
نَاصِیَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍۚ
A lying, sinning forelock
Saheeh Intl
فَلْیَدْعُ نَادِیَهُۙ
Then let him call his associates
Saheeh Intl
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِیَةَۙ
We will call the angels of Hell
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّاؕ لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]
