101. Al-Qari'ah

مَا الْقَارِعَةُۚ
What is the Striking Calamity
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَدْرٰیكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُؕ
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity
Saheeh Intl
یَوْمَ یَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِۙ
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed
Saheeh Intl
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِؕ
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up
Saheeh Intl
فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازٖینُهُۙ
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]
Saheeh Intl
فَهُوَ فٖی عٖیشَةٍ رَاضِیَةٍؕ
He will be in a pleasant life
Saheeh Intl
وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازٖینُهُۙ
But as for one whose scales are light
Saheeh Intl
فَاُمُّهُ هَاوِیَةٌؕ
His refuge will be an abyss
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَدْرٰیكَ مَا هِیَهْؕ
And what can make you know what that is
Saheeh Intl
نَارٌ حَامِیَةٌ
It is a Fire, intensely hot
