قُلْ یَٓا اَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا فٖی دٖینِكُمْ غَیْرَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُٓوا اَهْوَٓاءَ قَوْمٍ قَدْ ضَلُّوا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَاَضَلُّوا كَثٖیرًا وَضَلُّوا عَنْ سَوَٓاءِ السَّبٖیلِࣖ
Qul ya ahla alkitabi la taghloo fee deenikum ghayra alhaqqi wala tattabiAAoo ahwaa qawmin qad dalloo min qablu waadalloo katheeran wadalloo AAan sawai alssabeeli
Translations
Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way
Saheeh International
Say: O People of the Scripture! Stress not in your religion other than the truth, and follow not the vain desires of folk who erred of old and led many astray, and erred from a plain road
