69:9

وَجَٓاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِۚ

And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin

Saheeh Intl

69:10

فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَهُمْ اَخْذَةً رَابِیَةً

And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]

Saheeh Intl

69:11

اِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَٓاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِی الْجَارِیَةِۙ

Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship

Saheeh Intl

69:12

لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِیَهَٓا اُذُنٌ وَاعِیَةٌ

That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it

Saheeh Intl

69:13

فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِی الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌۙ

Then when the Horn is blown with one blast

Saheeh Intl

69:14

وَحُمِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً

And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow

Saheeh Intl

69:15

فَیَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُۙ

Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur

Saheeh Intl

69:16

وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَٓاءُ فَهِیَ یَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِیَةٌۙ

And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm

Saheeh Intl

69:17

وَالْمَلَكُ عَلٰٓى اَرْجَٓائِهَاؕ وَیَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ یَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِیَةٌؕ

And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them]

Saheeh Intl

69:18

یَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفٰى مِنْكُمْ خَافِیَةٌ

That Day, you will be exhibited [for judgement]; not hidden among you is anything concealed

Saheeh Intl

69:19

فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو𐻿تِیَ كِتَابَهُ بِیَمٖینِهٖ فَیَقُولُ هَٓاؤُ𐻾مُ اقْرَؤُ𐻿ا كِتَابِیَهْۚ

So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record

Saheeh Intl

69:20

اِنّٖی ظَنَنْتُ اَنّٖی مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِیَهْۚ

Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account

Saheeh Intl

69:21

فَهُوَ فٖی عٖیشَةٍ رَاضِیَةٍۙ

So he will be in a pleasant life

Saheeh Intl

69:22

فٖی جَنَّةٍ عَالِیَةٍۙ

In an elevated garden

Saheeh Intl

69:23

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِیَةٌ

Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near

Saheeh Intl

69:24

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنٖٓیـًٔا بِمَٓا اَسْلَفْتُمْ فِی الْاَیَّامِ الْخَالِیَةِ

[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past

Saheeh Intl

69:25

وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو𐻿تِیَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهٖ فَیَقُولُ یَا لَیْتَنٖی لَمْ اُو𐻿تَ كِتَابِیَهْۚ

But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

Saheeh Intl

69:26

وَلَمْ اَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِیَهْۚ

And had not known what is my account

Saheeh Intl

69:27

یَا لَیْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِیَةَۚ

I wish my death had been the decisive one

Saheeh Intl

69:28

مَٓا اَغْنٰى عَنّٖی مَالِیَهْۚ

My wealth has not availed me

Saheeh Intl

69:29

هَلَكَ عَنّٖی سُلْطَانِیَهْۚ

Gone from me is my authority

Saheeh Intl

69:30

خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُۙ

[Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him

Saheeh Intl

69:31

ثُمَّ الْجَحٖیمَ صَلُّوهُۙ

Then into Hellfire drive him

Saheeh Intl

69:32

ثُمَّ فٖی سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُؕ

Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him

Saheeh Intl

69:33

اِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا یُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظٖیمِۙ

Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great

Saheeh Intl

69:34

وَلَا یَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكٖینِؕ

Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor
