كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَۙ
No! But you love the immediate
Saheeh Intl
75. Al-Qiyamah
الْقِيٰمَةِ
وَتَذَرُونَ الْاٰخِرَةَؕ
And leave the Hereafter
Saheeh Intl
وُجُوهٌ یَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌۙ
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant
Saheeh Intl
اِلٰى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌۚ
Looking at their Lord
Saheeh Intl
وَوُجُوهٌ یَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌۙ
And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted
Saheeh Intl
تَظُنُّ اَنْ یُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌؕ
Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّٓا اِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِیَۙ
No! When the soul has reached the collar bones
Saheeh Intl
وَقٖیلَ مَنْ𐻽 رَاقٍۙ
And it is said, "Who will cure [him]
Saheeh Intl
وَظَنَّ اَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُۙ
And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation
Saheeh Intl
وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِۙ
And the leg is wound about the leg
Saheeh Intl
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ یَوْمَئِذٍࣙ الْمَسَاقُؕࣖ
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession
Saheeh Intl
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلّٰىۙ
And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed
Saheeh Intl
وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىۙ
But [instead], he denied and turned away
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهٖ یَتَمَطّٰىؕ
And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]
Saheeh Intl
اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىۙ
Woe to you, and woe
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىؕ
Then woe to you, and woe
Saheeh Intl
اَیَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنْ یُتْرَكَ سُدًىؕ
Does man think that he will be left neglected
Saheeh Intl
اَلَمْ یَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِیٍّ یُمْنٰىۙ
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّٰىۙ
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]
Saheeh Intl
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَیْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰىؕ
And made of him two mates, the male and the female
Saheeh Intl
اَلَیْسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلٰٓى اَنْ یُحْیِیَ الْمَوْتٰى
Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead
Saheeh Intl
