هَلْ اَتٰیكَ حَدٖیثُ مُوسٰىۘ
Has there reached you the story of Moses
Saheeh Intl
79. An-Nazi'at
النَّازِعَاتِ
اِذْ نَادٰیهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًىۚ
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa
Saheeh Intl
اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهُ طَغٰىؗ
Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed
Saheeh Intl
فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ اِلٰٓى اَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
Saheeh Intl
وَاَهْدِیَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰىۚ
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]
Saheeh Intl
فَاَرٰیهُ الْاٰیَةَ الْكُبْرٰىؗ
And he showed him the greatest sign
Saheeh Intl
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰىؗ
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ یَسْعٰىؗ
Then he turned his back, striving
Saheeh Intl
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىؗ
And he gathered [his people] and called out
Saheeh Intl
فَقَالَ اَنَا𐻾 رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰىؗ
And said, "I am your most exalted lord
Saheeh Intl
فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَكَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَالْاُو𐻿لٰىؕ
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّ فٖی ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِمَنْ یَخْشٰىؕࣖ
Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]
Saheeh Intl
ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَٓاءُؕ بَنٰیهَاࣞ
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it
Saheeh Intl
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوّٰیهَاۙ
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it
Saheeh Intl
وَاَغْطَشَ لَیْلَهَا وَاَخْرَجَ ضُحٰیهَاࣕ
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness
Saheeh Intl
وَالْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰیهَاؕ
And after that He spread the earth
Saheeh Intl
اَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَٓاءَهَا وَمَرْعٰیهَاࣕ
He extracted from it its water and its pasture
Saheeh Intl
وَالْجِبَالَ اَرْسٰیهَاۙ
And the mountains He set firmly
Saheeh Intl
مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ
As provision for you and your grazing livestock
Saheeh Intl
فَاِذَا جَٓاءَتِ الطَّٓامَّةُ الْكُبْرٰىؗ
But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity
Saheeh Intl
یَوْمَ یَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove
Saheeh Intl
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحٖیمُ لِمَنْ یَرٰى
And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see
Saheeh Intl
فَاَمَّا مَنْ طَغٰىۙ
So as for he who transgressed
Saheeh Intl
وَاٰثَرَ الْحَیٰوةَ الدُّنْیَاۙ
And preferred the life of the world
Saheeh Intl
فَاِنَّ الْجَحٖیمَ هِیَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge
Saheeh Intl
وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination
Saheeh Intl
فَاِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِیَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge
Saheeh Intl
یَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَیَّانَ مُرْسٰیهَاؕ
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival
Saheeh Intl
فٖیمَ اَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرٰیهَاؕ
In what [position] are you that you should mention it
Saheeh Intl
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهٰیهَاؕ
To your Lord is its finality
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّمَٓا اَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ یَخْشٰیهَاؕ
You are only a warner for those who fear it
Saheeh Intl
كَاَنَّهُمْ یَوْمَ یَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ یَلْبَثُٓوا اِلَّا عَشِیَّةً اَوْ ضُحٰیهَا
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof
