قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ اَیُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers
Saheeh Intl
51. Adh-Dhariyat
الذَّارِيَاتِ
قَالُٓوا اِنَّٓا اُرْسِلْنَٓا اِلٰى قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمٖینَۙ
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
Saheeh Intl
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَیْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طٖینٍۙ
To send down upon them stones of clay
Saheeh Intl
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفٖینَ
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors
Saheeh Intl
فَاَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فٖیهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنٖینَۚ
So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers
Saheeh Intl
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فٖیهَا غَیْرَ بَیْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمٖینَۚ
And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims
Saheeh Intl
وَتَرَكْنَا فٖیهَٓا اٰیَةً لِلَّذٖینَ یَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْاَلٖیمَؕ
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment
Saheeh Intl
وَفٖی مُوسٰٓى اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَاهُ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبٖینٍ
And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority
Saheeh Intl
فَتَوَلّٰى بِرُكْنِهٖ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ اَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman
Saheeh Intl
فَاَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِی الْیَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلٖیمٌؕ
So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy
Saheeh Intl
وَفٖی عَادٍ اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَیْهِمُ الرّٖیحَ الْعَقٖیمَۚ
And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind
Saheeh Intl
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَیْءٍ اَتَتْ عَلَیْهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمٖیمِؕ
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins
Saheeh Intl
وَفٖی ثَمُودَ اِذْ قٖیلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتّٰى حٖینٍ
And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time
Saheeh Intl
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ یَنْظُرُونَ
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on
Saheeh Intl
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِیَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرٖینَۙ
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves
Saheeh Intl
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُؕ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقٖینَࣖ
And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient
Saheeh Intl
وَالسَّمَٓاءَ بَنَیْنَاهَا بِاَیْدٍ وَاِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander
Saheeh Intl
وَالْاَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ
And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer
Saheeh Intl
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَیْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَیْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember
Saheeh Intl
فَفِرُّٓوا اِلَى اللّٰهِؕ اِنّٖی لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذٖیرٌ مُبٖینٌۚ
So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner
Saheeh Intl
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَؕ اِنّٖی لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذٖیرٌ مُبٖینٌ
And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner
