اِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَۙ
Indeed, he thought and deliberated
Saheeh Intl
74. Al-Muddaththir
الْمُدَّثِّرِ
فَقُتِلَ كَیْفَ قَدَّرَۙ
So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَیْفَ قَدَّرَۙ
Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ نَظَرَۙ
Then he considered [again]
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَۙ
Then he frowned and scowled
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَۙ
Then he turned back and was arrogant
Saheeh Intl
فَقَالَ اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا سِحْرٌ یُؤْثَرُۙ
And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others]
Saheeh Intl
اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِؕ
This is not but the word of a human being
Saheeh Intl
سَاُصْلٖیهِ سَقَرَ
I will drive him into Saqar
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَدْرٰیكَ مَا سَقَرُؕ
And what can make you know what is Saqar
Saheeh Intl
لَا تُبْقٖی وَلَا تَذَرُۚ
It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned]
Saheeh Intl
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِۚ
Blackening the skins
Saheeh Intl
عَلَیْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَؕ
Over it are nineteen [angels]
Saheeh Intl
وَمَا جَعَلْنَٓا اَصْحَابَ النَّارِ اِلَّا مَلٰٓئِكَةًࣕ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ اِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذٖینَ كَفَرُواۙ لِیَسْتَیْقِنَ الَّذٖینَ اُو𐻿تُوا الْكِتَابَ وَیَزْدَادَ الَّذٖینَ اٰمَنُٓوا اٖیمَانًا وَلَا یَرْتَابَ الَّذٖینَ اُو𐻿تُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَۙ وَلِیَقُولَ الَّذٖینَ فٖی قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَٓا اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلًاؕ كَذٰلِكَ یُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ یَشَٓاءُ وَیَهْدٖی مَنْ یَشَٓاءُؕ وَمَا یَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ اِلَّا هُوَؕ وَمَا هِیَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰى لِلْبَشَرِࣖ
And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِۙ
No! By the moon
Saheeh Intl
وَالَّیْلِ اِذْ اَدْبَرَۙ
And [by] the night when it departs
Saheeh Intl
وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَٓا اَسْفَرَۙ
And [by] the morning when it brightens
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّهَا لَاِحْدَى الْكُبَرِۙ
Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions]
Saheeh Intl
نَذٖیرًا لِلْبَشَرِۙ
As a warning to humanity
Saheeh Intl
لِمَنْ شَٓاءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ یَتَقَدَّمَ اَوْ یَتَاَخَّرَؕ
To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind
Saheeh Intl
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهٖینَةٌۙ
Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained
Saheeh Intl
اِلَّٓا اَصْحَابَ الْیَمٖینِؕۛ
Except the companions of the right
Saheeh Intl
فٖی جَنَّاتٍؕۛ یَتَسَٓاءَلُونَۙ
[Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other
Saheeh Intl
عَنِ الْمُجْرِمٖینَۙ
About the criminals
Saheeh Intl
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فٖی سَقَرَ
[And asking them], "What put you into Saqar
Saheeh Intl
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلّٖینَۙ
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed
Saheeh Intl
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكٖینَۙ
Nor did we used to feed the poor
Saheeh Intl
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَٓائِضٖینَۙ
And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it]
Saheeh Intl
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِیَوْمِ الدّٖینِۙ
And we used to deny the Day of Recompense
Saheeh Intl
حَتّٰٓى اَتٰینَا الْیَقٖینُؕ
Until there came to us the certainty
Saheeh Intl
