فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعٖینَؕ

So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors

Saheeh Intl

فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضٖینَۙ

Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away

Saheeh Intl

كَاَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُسْتَنْفِرَةٌۙ

As if they were alarmed donkeys

Saheeh Intl

فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍؕ

Fleeing from a lion

Saheeh Intl

بَلْ یُرٖیدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ اَنْ یُؤْتٰى صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةًۙ

Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about

Saheeh Intl

كَلَّاؕ بَلْ لَا یَخَافُونَ الْاٰخِرَةَؕ

No! But they do not fear the Hereafter

Saheeh Intl

كَلَّٓا اِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌۚ

No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder

Saheeh Intl

فَمَنْ شَٓاءَ ذَكَرَهُؕ

Then whoever wills will remember it

Saheeh Intl

وَمَا یَذْكُرُونَ اِلَّٓا اَنْ یَشَٓاءَ اللّٰهُؕ هُوَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَاَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ

And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness
