فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰیهُ رَبُّهُ فَاَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَیَقُولُ رَبّٖٓی اَكْرَمَنِؕ
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me
Saheeh Intl
89. Al-Fajr
الْفَجْرِ
وَاَمَّٓا اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰیهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَیَقُولُ رَبّٖٓی اَهَانَنِۚ
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّا بَلْ لَا تُكْرِمُونَ الْیَتٖیمَۙ
No! But you do not honor the orphan
Saheeh Intl
وَلَا تَحَٓاضُّونَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكٖینِۙ
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor
Saheeh Intl
وَتَاْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَمًّاۙ
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether
Saheeh Intl
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّاؕ
And you love wealth with immense love
Saheeh Intl
كَلَّٓا اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاۙ
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed
Saheeh Intl
وَجَٓاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاۚ
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank
Saheeh Intl
وَجٖٓیءَ یَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ یَوْمَئِذٍ یَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance
Saheeh Intl
یَقُولُ یَا لَیْتَنٖی قَدَّمْتُ لِحَیَاتٖیۚ
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life
Saheeh Intl
فَیَوْمَئِذٍ لَا یُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُٓ اَحَدٌۙ
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment
Saheeh Intl
وَلَا یُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُٓ اَحَدٌؕ
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]
Saheeh Intl
یَٓا اَیَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُࣗ
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul
Saheeh Intl
اِرْجِعٖٓی اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِیَةً مَرْضِیَّةًۚ
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]
Saheeh Intl
فَادْخُلٖی فٖی عِبَادٖیۙ
And enter among My [righteous] servants
Saheeh Intl
وَادْخُلٖی جَنَّتٖی
And enter My Paradise
