قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمٖی بِمَا كَانُوا یَعْمَلُونَۚ
He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do
Saheeh Intl
26. Ash-Shu'ara
الشُّعَرَاءِ
اِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبّٖی لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَۚ
Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَنَا𐻾 بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنٖینَۚ
And I am not one to drive away the believers
Saheeh Intl
اِنْ اَنَا𐻾 اِلَّا نَذٖیرٌ مُبٖینٌؕ
I am only a clear warner
Saheeh Intl
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ𐻾 یَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومٖینَؕ
They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned
Saheeh Intl
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْمٖی كَذَّبُونِۚ
He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me
Saheeh Intl
فَافْتَحْ بَیْنٖی وَبَیْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنٖی وَمَنْ مَعِیَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنٖینَ
Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers
Saheeh Intl
فَاَنْجَیْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِی الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِۚ
So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقٖینَؕ
Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّ فٖی ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیَةًؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنٖینَ
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Saheeh Intl
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزٖیزُ الرَّحٖیمُࣖ
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Saheeh Intl
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌࣙ الْمُرْسَلٖینَۚ
Aad denied the messengers
Saheeh Intl
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُونَۚ
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Saheeh Intl
اِنّٖی لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ اَمٖینٌۙ
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Saheeh Intl
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطٖیعُونِۚ
So fear Allah and obey me
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِیَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعَالَمٖینَؕ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Saheeh Intl
اَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رٖیعٍ اٰیَةً تَعْبَثُونَۙ
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves
Saheeh Intl
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِـعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَۚ
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally
Saheeh Intl
وَاِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارٖینَۚ
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants
Saheeh Intl
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطٖیعُونِۚ
So fear Allah and obey me
Saheeh Intl
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذٖٓی اَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَۚ
And fear He who provided you with that which you know
Saheeh Intl
اَمَدَّكُمْ بِاَنْعَامٍ وَبَنٖینَۙ
Provided you with grazing livestock and children
Saheeh Intl
وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُیُونٍۚ
And gardens and springs
Saheeh Intl
اِنّٖٓی اَخَافُ عَلَیْكُمْ عَذَابَ یَوْمٍ عَظٖیمٍؕ
Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day
Saheeh Intl
قَالُوا سَوَٓاءٌ عَلَیْنَٓا اَوَعَظْتَ اَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظٖینَۙ
They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors
