كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍࣙ الْمُرْسَلٖینَۚ
The people of Lot denied the messengers
Saheeh Intl
26. Ash-Shu'ara
الشُّعَرَاءِ
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُونَۚ
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Saheeh Intl
اِنّٖی لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ اَمٖینٌۙ
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Saheeh Intl
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطٖیعُونِۚ
So fear Allah and obey me
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِیَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعَالَمٖینَؕ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Saheeh Intl
اَتَاْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمٖینَۙ
Do you approach males among the worlds
Saheeh Intl
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْؕ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing
Saheeh Intl
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ𐻾 یَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجٖینَ
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted
Saheeh Intl
قَالَ اِنّٖی لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالٖینَؕ
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]
Saheeh Intl
رَبِّ نَجِّنٖی وَاَهْلٖی مِمَّا یَعْمَلُونَ
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do
Saheeh Intl
فَنَجَّیْنَاهُ وَاَهْلَهُٓ اَجْمَعٖینَۙ
So We saved him and his family, all
Saheeh Intl
اِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِی الْغَابِرٖینَۚ
Except an old woman among those who remained behind
Saheeh Intl
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْاٰخَرٖینَۚ
Then We destroyed the others
Saheeh Intl
وَاَمْطَرْنَا عَلَیْهِمْ مَطَرًاۚ فَسَٓاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرٖینَ
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned
Saheeh Intl
اِنَّ فٖی ذٰلِكَ لَاٰیَةًؕ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنٖینَ
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Saheeh Intl
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزٖیزُ الرَّحٖیمُࣖ
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Saheeh Intl
كَذَّبَ اَصْحَابُ لْــَٔیْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلٖینَۚ
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers
Saheeh Intl
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَیْبٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُونَۚ
When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Saheeh Intl
اِنّٖی لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ اَمٖینٌۙ
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Saheeh Intl
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطٖیعُونِۚ
So fear Allah and obey me
Saheeh Intl
وَمَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَیْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِیَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعَالَمٖینَؕ
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Saheeh Intl
اَوْفُوا الْكَیْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرٖینَۚ
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss
Saheeh Intl
وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقٖیمِۚ
And weigh with an even balance
Saheeh Intl
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشْیَٓاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدٖینَۚ
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption
